Thankful for...

As I reach the end of my high school years I become more grateful for the teachers that have supported my through the years. But the teachers who will leave the biggest impact from my high school years will be my math teachers: Mrs. Weston, Mr. Ramirez, Ms. Crespo, Mr. Benitez and this year I was gifted one of the best math teachers I've ever had, Mrs. Valdez. Not only is Mrs. Valdez one of the most caring people I have met she truly has a passion for teaching and having one-one connections with her students. She will always be willing to go the extra mile for her students whether it's staying longer hours for tutoring or coming in early to fit different schedules, extending due dates to better prepare us, sometimes even providing different snacks. Either way I know Mrs. Valdez is always there to give a helping hand. These qualities of hers don't go unnoticed but she is definitely not thanked enough for them. There is so much more that can be said about how amazing of a teacher Mrs. Valdez is but this would get too lengthy so I'll end this by saying, thank you Mrs. Valdez for everything you do for your students, I wouldn't have wished for another teacher for my senior year.

In this picture we were practicing different types of framing that didn't just mean a boring squared frame. I used my partners hand to create a small hole in between a field of grass to show the only flowers blossoming. I really like this picture because of the pop of pink in the middle. When I had originally taken this picture my settings were: ISO 100, 51mm, f/5.6, 1/400 sec. But these settings made the picture too dark so when I went back to edit them I had to bring up the exposure and try to make the pink stand out more. I do wish I had rotated the picture so that her hands were facing the right way. I think it turned out way better than I thought it would. Which is why I really liked his picture.

In the second picture we were still practicing framing so my partners is standing outside a building and all that can be seen is her silhouette. My photo teacher is Mr. Phun said it was an interesting way of showing framing. I really liked this because it was one of the first assignments we had where we had to show our partners and model for each other so we were still pretty nervous. This idea helped us become more confident since all that could be seen was the outline of her. I was very proud of my self when taking this picture and it was one of my first so this picture is very special to me. My settings were: ISO 320, 18 mm, f/ 5.6, 1/80 sec.

In the last picture we were asked to take a picture of someone popping a water balloon which meant we needed to shoot at a high shutter speed. I really liked this picture because I was able to catch the exact moment when the girl popped the balloon. Later with editing I was able to remove some of the distracting signs in the background. I was also able to make the background a bit blurry because I think the restroom doors were just a bit too distracting. I really liked this picture because the water was still in a round shape. My settings were: ISO 1600, 55mm, f/5.6, 1/1000 sec.

This is the most recent picture I've taken this year. And it's one of my favorites because I was able to capture some of my favorite things in the picture. What I really like about this picture is the way that the sun hits the trees and how there's a lare across the picture. I prefer taking pictures of nature rather than people so I found taking this picture very relaxing. My camera settings for this picture were: ISO 6400, 25 mm, f/22, 1/1600 sec.
